BIO
My work begins with what passes through our society unnoticed. The small, disposable objects that pass through daily consumption without ever being looked at. A clip that seals a bag of bread, a stirrer used once and dropped into a cup. None of them are the product; both are its residue.
dI collect these fragments and place them, one by one, onto panels or into forms, a slow, repetitive accumulation that treats gathering itself as a kind of labour. Alone, each piece is negligible, indistinguishable from millions like it. Accumulated by the hundreds or thousands, something shifts: function falls away, and what remains is a dense field of rhythm, structure, and relief.
A bread clip is paper wound around a thread of wire, coated and folded until it no longer looks like paper at all, mass-produced, handled once, and thrown away without a second glance. A coffee stirrer carries its own quieter charge: an object present in nearly every daily routine, so habitual it has become almost inseparable from the ritual itself. Fixed one by one to a surface, twisted into form, both stop being packaging or utensil and become material, a surface of rhythm and relief built entirely from what was meant to disappear.
This shift is the work, not the object itself, but the point where repetition turns something unworthy of attention into something that insists on being seen.
Use, discard, repeat. The trace remains.
